Jose Mourinho reveals he would have 'no problem' returning to Real Madrid as axed Man Utd boss eyes next job

The Portuguese boss, 56, has been out of work since he was sacked by Manchester United in December.

But Mourinho is itching to get back into management because he has not a won trophy in 18 months.

And the ex-Chelsea chief has fuelled speculation that he will return to the Bernabeu this summer – where he was in charge from 2010 until 2013.

Speaking to BeIN Sports, he said: "One of the greatest feelings in football for me was when I went back to Chelsea.

"When the fans chant your name for the second time it shows they appreciate you. It is a truly great feeling.

"Consequently, I would have no problem at all returning to Real Madrid, a club whose structure and ambitions are still in place.

"It makes you very proud to know that a club you have already managed wants you back. I like Spain, but I do not choose a club purely based on its country's climate.

"They are the biggest club in the world, they have 13 Champions League's to their medal."

Mourinho has admitted that he is "very flattered" to be linked to Real Madrid, but confirmed he has not been approached by the club.

He added: "If you look at what they have done in Europe over the last five years, it is nothing short of incredible.

"They have reached seven semi-finals in seven years. Five years, four finals and four victories. It is absolutely astonishing."

But Los Blancos have failed to live up to expectations this season – which has left Solari clinging onto his job.

Madrid crashed out of the Copa del Rey last week and are slumped 12 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table after 26 games.
