He reveals his selection for the Group 2 Cazoo May Hill Stakes (2.35) at the bottom.

BIG-PRICE Bella. Kingman filly who followed a solid debut on the AW with a solid win at Beverley last time out.
She needs to step forward from that but trainer Roger Varian is in good form and she has lots of potential to improve. She looks a big price to finish in the places.
CRYSTALLIUM 3
CRYSTAL clear. Cheap buy who was well backed when scoring on debut at Chelmsford 14 days ago.
She shapes as though stepping up to a mile will be ideal and trainer Tom Clover has his string going well. She looks capable of hitting the frame if translating her all-weather form to turf.

DANCE in step. Has looked smart on both starts at Sandown so far. She kicked off with an easy maiden win and left that form way behind when taking a Listed contest there last time.
She finished strongly over the 7f so this mile should be ideal and she looks hard to beat.
DUBAI JEMILA 1
DUBAI bye. Found 5f too sharp on debut at Beverley and looked much better when winning at Ayr over 7f last month.
She dictated from the front there and just dug out more when needed. She will find it harder to pull off those tactics today.
FERRARI QUEEN 4
FERRARI motors. Has done well in maidens with wins here on debut by six lengths then just as easily at Kempton on the all-weather.
That saw her pitched into this Listed grade at Newbury last month where she was far from disgraced in second. She is bred to enjoy this longer distance and looks a danger to stablemate Dance In The Grass.
FRANKNESS 4
FRANK a flyer. Has shown lots of potential over 7f so far with a close third at Newmarket on debut before back-to-back wins at Chester.
This Frankel filly had almost seven lengths in hand for the latest of those Roodee successes so she deserves a crack at this company.
MOTTISFONT 3
HOT Mott. Won her maiden at Ffos Las on debut and has held her own a couple of times since in Group 3 company.
She was beaten just a length in the Sweet Solera before running slightly short of that level at Goodwood 12 days ago. She should see out this longer trip and can outrun her odds.
NOVAKAI 3
KAI high. Showed a liking for Town Moor when winning easily here on debut before still looking pretty green when fifth in the Sweet Solera at Newmarket last month.
She'll improve for that experience and this extra furlong should be right up her street. She won't be far away.
PERFECT PROPHET 2
PROPHET a loss. Bred to be a stayer and she found 7f much too sharp when held on debut at Newbury in July.
She left that form behind upped to this distance when winning on the all-weather at Kempton. This is a much hotter contest than that so she needs to find a lot more, although the booking of Tom Marquand is a plus.
POLLY POTT 1
NOT Pott. Made it three wins on the spin at Salisbury last time and she sees out this distance really strongly.
Her victories have all come in relatively minor handicaps so she is likely to find this a lot tougher. Playing for a place at best.
Templegate's tip
DANCE IN THE GRASS has too much class.
She has run twice so far and landed a good win at Sandown each time. The second of those was an impressive Listed success when she powered clear inside the final furlong. Going up in distance here can bring more improvement.
Team Johnston stablemate Ferrari Queen looks a threat after a good run at Newbury and she's another who will relish this longer trip.
Frankness has been in flying form around Chester and her turn of foot makes her a danger.
