Gareth Bale DOUBT for Ajax clash after picking up injury in Real Madrid training

The Welsh winger was set to feature in Los Blancos' Champions League first-leg affair against the Dutch side tonight.

Bale continues to frustrate Real Madrid supporters with a string of injuries hampering his form on the field.

And now it appears he could be forced to sit on the sidelines yet again for the trip to Amsterdam.

According to Spanish journalist Jose Luis Sanchez, Bale picked up a knock in training and may not feature in their European first-leg.

But for some Real Madrid supporters, it could be a blessing in disguise with Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Junior set to start on the left side of midfield.

The 18-year-old has started the last two matches, keeping Bale firmly on the substitute bench.

When quizzed on his progress, manager Santiago Solari said: "His adaptation has been very fast,

"He has adapted to a new country, a new culture, a different type of football.

"He has shown his talent but we have to take care of him."

Solari will also be without Jesus Vallejo and Luca Zidane who miss out with injuries.

Marcos Llorente is also sidelined with a groin injury while Isco is struggling with a back problem.

Sergio Ramos is set to make his 600th appearance in a Real Madrid shirt.
