First look inside Dana White’s stunning UFC Fight Island with octagon on the beach in front of beautiful sea view – The Sun

DANA WHITE has given fans a glimpse of the UFC's 'Fight Island' which includes an octagon on the beach in front of beautiful sea view.

White has gone to all lengths to continue staging fights amid the coronavirus pandemic, firstly in Florida and then at the UFC's Apex Center in Las Vegas.

But with only US based fighters able to compete currently, the promoter secured a venue in Abu Dhabi's Yas Island which enables overseas stars to travel and compete.

White travelled to the Middle East to check out Fight Island's progression and shared a picture with an octagon on a beach.

He previously revealed it could be used for fighters to train on during fight week, with shows staged at an indoor venue.

White told TMZ Sports this month: "The fighters are not going to walk out lined up with tiki torches on the side.

"I will not be sitting in a big thrown overseeing the octagon and watching the fight."

"We actually have an arena. We built a little arena there that's very, very cool.

"The fighters will have their own private places to train. And, there will be an octagon on the beach too."

The UFC already have four events confirmed for Fight Island, the first of which taking place on Saturday, July 11.

White will kick off with a pay-per-view, which includes three title fights and headlined by welterweight champion Kamaru Usman defending his belt against Gilbert Burns.

Fight Island's last confirmed show will be on Saturday, July 25 as Liverpool's Darren Till faces former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.
