Fallon Sherrock draws with Glen Durrant on Premier League darts debut

Fallon Sherrock was inches away from making history once again, narrowly missing out on becoming the first women to win a Premier League Darts game.

The World Championship heroine made her debut this evening in Nottingham, drawing 6-6 with Glen Durrant.

Sherrock was yet again the underdog for the clash ahead of her first performance in the competition.

But once again she showed her class at the doubles.

A 92 checkout was the highlight of her performance, where Durrant was admittedly poor with his finishing.

The Middlesbrough-born player was 5-3 down at one stage but did manage to pull it back to 5-4.

However, three missed darts at double 16 left Sherrock two ahead once again.

But Durrant saved the match, winning the final two legs to draw 6-6.

Sherrock told fans before the clash she wasn't feeling the pressure, which showed throughout the encounter.

“It’s amazing that people are travelling to see me, it’s still all new to me so I’m really excited,” she said.

“At Alexandra Palace I tried to block everything out during my games so that will be what I do again, but I love taking in all the support at the end of matches.

“I don’t feel any pressure, I think all the pressure will be on Glen because he’s the Premier League player and he needs the points.

“I’m going to play my own game, not think about anything else and see how it goes. I can’t wait to go and play on another big stage.
