Dillian Whyte frozen out as Wilder reveals he 'strongly prefers' Breazeale fight next with Fury rematch over for now

The American is plotting his next scrap after turning his back on a highly-anticipated rematch with Tyson Fury.

And after calling out his old foe, it has threatened to leave Londoner Dillian Whyte out in the cold.

Breazeale, 33, is ranked No2 by the WBC and despite Whyte's top ranking, Wilder expects to start negotiations that will see him become the mandatory defence of his title belt.

Speaking to BoxingScene.com, he said: "He’s a strong possibility,

“That’s who I strongly want myself, anyway. It’s about that time. I can’t keep these mandatories hanging around.

“Although we had a great plan going on, where I was fighting the best of the division, so nobody can be mad at that. They wanted to see me fight the best and in 2018, that’s what Deontay did.

“I’m looking, 2019, to repeat the same. So, you know, I need to get the mandatory out the way."

Whyte has even threatened to sue if Breazeale is instead given the chance to become the new champ.

But Wilder and Breazeale have history and bosses believe the fight could rake in more money.

Just over two years ago, Wilder's brother Marcellus was caught in a altercation with Breazeale that exploded in a hotel lobby.

Both Wilder and Breazeale almost came to blows and police were called to prevent trouble further escalating.

Wilder added: "There’s already some bad blood against us. I’m ready to just wipe Dominic Breazeale off the planet. I can’t wait,

“That’s gonna be a scary fight right there, on his behalf.”
