Conor McGregor reveals he's in talks over UFC comeback bout in July

CONOR MCGREGOR has revealed he is in negotiations over a UFC comeback – and could be in the octagon by July.

The Notorious has not fought in the UFC since October when he lost to current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Khabib beat rival McGregor to retain his lightweight world title in the forth round at UFC 229.

The Irishman told ABC7 Chicago: “Yes, we're currently in negotiations. We’re aiming for July, we'll see what happens.

“I am staying ready. This morning I was doing incline sprints on the treadmill on my program, the McGregorFast program, today in a hotel room.

“So we're staying on it, getting work in as we go.”

McGregor and Nate Diaz have seemingly agreed to a new weight class for a trilogy fight over Twitter.

In 2016, McGregor jumped up two weight divisions to welterweight to face Diaz at UFC 196, where the American pulled off a massive shock.

McGregor won a rematch in August that year with a unanimous points decision.

But, now, Diaz has taken to Twitter with a cryptic message saying that suggests the trilogy could be on.

He wrote, “185”, to which McGregor responded saying: “You already know me mate. I don’t give a f*** about the weight."

McGregor and Diaz had fought their two fights at 170lbs in the welterweight division.
