Arsenal player ratings: Emile Smith Rowe and Joe Willock shine as Carl Jenkinson impresses at centre-back

This gave Unai Emery the chance to test out some of his youngsters – and the gamble certainly paid off.

Petr Cech

The experienced shot-stopper must have been feeling the sub-zero temperatures in Ukraine tonight. He had little to do in the first half, but he produced a stunning save after the interval to deny Igor Perduta.

Stephan Lichtsteiner

Came close to bagging an assist in the second half, but Smith-Rowe's strike was ruled out for offside. And viewers were baffled to see that he opted for a short sleeve shirt for the freezing fixture.

Carl Jenkinson

The 26-year-old started at centre-back for the Gunners and did really well. He latched onto every loose ball, cleared the danger on numerous occasions and even heroically blocked a shot with his face to deny Pavlo Rebenok.

Rob Holding

He will miss his team's final group game against Qarabag after receiving a yellow card for a pointless foul in the second half.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

The 21-year-old linked up well with Smith-Rowe down the left flank. Had Arsenal's first real chance of the game, but didn't manage to test the goalkeeper.

Matteo Guendouzi

Provided two impressive deliveries for Jenkinson and Smith Rowe, but neither star could convert. He was hauled off in the 77th minute and replaced by Gilmour.

Mohamed Elneny 

His assist for Chris Willock's goal would have secured his spot in Emery's good books. He won back possession in midfield and slotted an inch-perfect ball through to the youngster.

Joe Willock

Scored his first senior goal for the Gunners as he made it 3-0. He skillfully lost his marker before he side-footed the strike into the corner of the net – which earned him a comparison to Thierry Henry by the pundits at half-time.

Aaron Ramsey

The experienced Gunner ran the show at times and he scored Arsenal's second from the penalty spot. He linked up well with Eddie Nketiah to create a handful of chances.

Emile Smith Rowe

English starlet, 18, opened the scoring after ten minutes with an impressive effort. With three goals to his name in six appearances, he has certainly earned his right to be considered for the first-team.

Eddie Nketiah

Caused a nuisance for Vorskla's defence throughout and his confidence on the ball was evident. He came close on several occasions, but he didn't manage to find the back of the net.
