MAN UTD grabbed a draw in their Premier League return clash against Tottenham.

Bruno Fernandes earned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side a point in the capital, but Roy Keane was far from impressed as he launched into a full-scale rant at the Red Devils players.

Follow all the latest transfer gossip and updates from Old Trafford below…

  • GOOD MORNING RED DEVILS FANS

Manchester United marked their return to Premier League action with a 1-1 draw at Tottenham.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men fell behind in the first half to a fine strike from Steven Bergwijn.

But the introduction of Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood in the second 45 saw United turn up the heat.

And they were rewarded for their efforts when Pogba won a penalty with just ten minutes remaining

Bruno Fernandes put the spot-kick away to secure a vital point for United in their Champions League hunt.

Meanwhile, Roy Keane held nothing back as he blasted Harry Maguire and David De Gea for their roles in Spurs’ opener.

The former Red Devils captain left the nation in stitches with his brilliant takedown of the flop pair.

Maguire was left for dead by Bergwijn, who then saw his shot palmed into the back of the net by De Gea.

Keane said on Sky Sports: “Maguire and De Gea, I wouldn’t even let them on the bus after the match, get a taxi back to Manchester!

“These are established international players. Shocking. I am disgusted with it.”

Finally, Paul Pogba wants to stay at United this summer.

That’s according to club legend Peter Schmeichel, who told the Express: “I’m absolutely convinced he wants to stay. I think we’ll see somebody, more of the player we saw a year ago.

“I just know, you speak to the right people.

“One thing is how he’s portrayed in the media for how what he does and what he says himself, and another thing is what his agent is doing.

“And a completely different thing is what it’s really like.

“He wanted to come back to Manchester United, he wanted to come back. And he has got, like any other player at that level in the world, he’s got his pride.

“And I don’t think he wants to leave. I don’t think so.”

  • POG BACK

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Paul Pogba’s performance from the bench against Spurs.

The midfielder turned the game for United and won the penalty which secured a point in North London.

Solskjaer said: “The performance in the second half deserved three points.

“Pogba was fantastic, he played the pass of the day and won the penalty.

“He’s one of the best in the world and it’s great to have him back.”

  • GUNNAR GET YA

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Man Utd deserved to get more from their game against Spurs.

He said: “It’s strange because last year we played Spurs and they battered us but we got away with a win.

“Today it’s the opposite, we put them on the back foot and created chances.

“Maybe we deserved more. It’s a pleasing thing for me, the performances compared to the points.”

  • MAN UTD VERDICT BY NEIL CUSTIS

It was as well for David De Gea that Roy Keane was in the TV studio and not the dressing room.

Had he been, De Gea might have been missing the rest of the season with a broken nose.

The former Manchester United captain tore into the goalkeeper him for his first half blunder that gave Tottenham a 27th minute lead.

Steven Bergwijn’s shot went straight at him and then into the net off the back of his right hand.

It was almost as if that hand got in the way of the other as the left was outstretched seemingly to do the job of saving the shot.

It was not just about this one incident that saw Keane blow his top… De Gea has been making too many mistakes for too long now.

  • LAST PLAYER RATINGS

    Marcus Rashford – 6/10

Looked sharp and seemed like he had shrugged off the lockdown fug.

He has scored the last three United goals against Spurs and had the first chance for United but didn’t quite take it and lost the challenge that led to Bergwijn’s breakaway goal and he was erratic on the ball.

    Paul Pogba 8/10

Stepped up and used this as the chance to silence the critics and put potential suiters across Europe on red alert.

The World Cup winner’s tasty link up with Fernandes proved lethal and he was hungry and involved from the offset.

    Mason Greenwood 7/10

The lively teenager was switched on from the offset and had an appetite for action with his deadly pace.

    Odion Ighalo 5/10

Wasn’t given enough time to get the run of the green going up front for the final few minutes. But offered an alternative option upfront.

  • MORE PLAYER RATINGS

    Fred – 5/10

A few deft deliveries but got caught out a couple of times early on and was unable to predict the danger from Bergwijn on his way to scoring and was benched for Paul Pogba.

    Scot McTominay – 6/10

Despite being dubbed McTerminator during the lockdown period for his bulging muscles he seemed to be easily outmuscled in the opening exchanges however he remained hungry, vocal and pressed for the tables to turn.

    Bruno Fernandes – 8/10

Slammed a no nonsense penalty into the left corner and made no mistake with it for the equaliser.

He injected creativity and quality into the midfield from the offset and we got a taste of the deliciously lethal partnership of Pogba and Fernandes which is yet to come.

    Anthony Martial – 5/10

He did well to find space in a few pockets to find a few crucial passes but scuppered his shot off to allowed Dier to deny him a peach of a chance.

He redeemed himself and struck well at Lloris forcing the frenchman into a desperate save.

    Daniel James – 4/10

Despite a few flashes of pace Ben Davies didn’t seem fazed by the youngster and he was unsurprisingly was benched

  • MAN UTD PLAYER RATINGS BY ISABELLE BARKER

    David De Gea – 4/10

The Spanish stopper suffered yet another gaffe to help Spurs bag the opener.

Berwijn’s screamer stung De Gea’s hands and ricocheted into goal – and the United keeper will be wishing he did better with the ball virtually firing straight at him.

    Victor Lindelof – 3/10

The Swedish defender looked well off the pace as Bergwijn made light work of shimmying around him for the opener.

It seemed he was yet to shrug off the lockdown fug as he limped off on 78 minutes with Scott McTominay dropping into the defence.

    Aaron Wan-Bissaka –  5/10

Managed to ruffle a few feathers on the right flank but seemed to lose his feet in the final attacking moments.

    Harry Maguire – 4/10

Maguire looked well off the pace as Bergwijn danced around some feeble challenges from the Red Devils defender before slamming the ball home.

He puffed and panted to track back and keep up with the Spurs attack in the first half but stepped up to organise the wall as the tables turned.

    Luke Shaw – 6/10

One of the liveliest Red Devils players in the opening exchanges and could – maybe should – have helped side in front if he had lacked a tad more precision in passing.

  • DWIGHT DECISION

Sean Dyche warned the Prem big boys: You will not get Dwight McNeil on the cheap.

Burnley’s £50million-rated winger, 20, has been linked with both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Leicester and a host of others — including Italian giants Juventus.

But boss Dyche said: “The club is an incredibly strong position financially. That hasn’t changed because of Covid.

“If anyone does want to knock on our door and ask for our players, we know the true worth of them.”

  • WILD THING

Chris Wilder confirmed Sheffield United are ready to take legal action if their ‘ghost goal’ costs them European football against the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal.

The Hawk-Eye cock-up against Aston Villa robbed his Blades of going fifth — a Champions League spot if Manchester City are banned.

Sports Lawyer Nick De Marco QC feels the club may have a case for compensation if they miss out.

And boss Wilder hinted they may take action ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Newcastle.

He said: “I’ve not had anything back off the board or CEO. There will obviously be a discussion above me about the situation.

“That’s only right and I think everybody would expect that.

“I suppose we will only know after our final game at Southampton.”

  • ‘GOOD RESULT’

Bruno Fernandes admits a point against Spurs was a good result for Man Utd.

But he feels his team deserved more from the North London clash.

He said: “It was a difficult game. We started good with our ideas but they scored on the counter.

“We were in the game all the time, we had a lot of chances to score.

“It’s not enough for us because we want to win every game but it’s a good result.

“Maybe in the second half we had more chances, but the game was good and after a long stop we did very well.”

  • LEAGUE SCUPPERED

The League Cup is set to lose the top seven Premier League clubs next season as fixture congestion reaches “critical levels”.

The dates for two rounds of next term's Champions League and Europa League are likely to clash with the competition.

As reported by The Times, the League Cup faces the prospect of playing without seven of the top Premier League sides as the coronavirus crisis continues to wreak havoc on the football calendar.

The EFL is weighing up all its options and is yet to make a final decision – but it seems almost certain that the top clubs will be ruled out of the Cup in order to compete on the European stage.

  • MORE KEANE

The Irishman added: “These are established international players.

“We’re sitting here analysing the game, analyse the game till the cows come home — YOU DO YOUR JOB.

“We’re trying to get into the top four, not winning leagues by the way, just talking about top for.

“Shocking. I am disgusted with it.”

  • KEANE TIRADE

Roy Keane has TORN INTO Harry Maguire and David De Gea at half time on Sky Sports.

The former United captain said: “As an established international goalkeeper, I am flabbergasted.

“If I was Ole, make some changes, get some lads off the pitch some players going through the motions.

“Not that United have been bad, but you’ve got to flex your muscles, impose your personality on the game.

“Spurs have done OK, they’ve been compact, listen, they’ve been OK.

“But United… Maguire and De Gea, I wouldn’t even let them on the bus after the match, get a taxi back to Manchester.”

  • CITY SLACKERS

Man Utd and Liverpool are reportedly set to be beaten by Man City in the race for Belgian youngster Romeo Lavia as he rejects a new deal with Anderlecht.

The highly rated 16-year-old announced his departure from Lotto Park via Instagram on Thursday.

The defensive-midfielder is one of the hottest young properties in Europe following eight scintillating years filtering through the youth ranks of the Belgian outfit.

Anderlecht were said to be desperate to keep the hotshot in their clutches and were planning to give the defender a chance to spread his wings in Franky Vercauteren's first team but he refused to sign new terms.

Lavia's next destination is unclear, however City seem to be in pole position to land the whizkid amid interest from Liverpool and neighbours United, according to Voetbalkrant.

  • ROY NOT KEEN

Roy Keane has blasted Man Utd target Jack Grealish for “laughing” in Aston Villa's return to the Premier League and warned “your career depends on results”.

He told Football Daily: “They need more intensity. I know it's the first game in three months and it's going to be difficult for the players to get their sharpness back.

“I always felt it took me six to eight games to get up to speed so that's a difficult situation for the players.

“But you have to try and create something and for Villa the other night, I got the impression they felt like a draw wasn't the end of the world.

“Every time I looked at Grealish he was laughing. I thought 'listen do you realise what's at stake here?'

“And because the supporters weren't there maybe they got sucked into thinking the result doesn't matter.

“Of course it matters your career depends on it.”

  • TELE-MISSION

The Government will reportedly demand EVERY Premier League match be shown live on TV until fans can return to stadiums.

But the move is set to put them on collision course with Sky Sports and BT Sport.

The Government wants to ensure matches are made available to as big an audience as possible, with fans not allowed to go to stadiums.

But, having shelled out £5bn between them to broadcast games between 2019 and 2022, BT Sport and Sky Sports fear they will lose subscribers if fans cancel their accounts and watch the free-to-air matches only.

  • STILL A RED

Paul Pogba wants to stay at Manchester United, according to club legend Peter Schmeichel.
