A woman has shared a video of tiny baby rats on her bed after going away "for a couple of days" only to return and find a nest in the blankets.
In the clip, TikTok user Olivia Longstaff @livnmatt seems to have mixed emotions as she finds six of the delicate little animals which appear to be barely hours old.
Zooming in on the pink and squeaking bundle, she says: "We just found these in the bed.
"We went away for a couple of days and they were in our comforter.
"I sat down and I heard something… aww babies."
The rats are blind and hairless and squeaking non-stop as they lie on top of the bed, next to a chewed-up hole in the blanket that the mother rat presumably made.
Olivia lives in a farmhouse and regularly posts videos about the animals and livestock she looks after.
Although she is accustomed to wild animals like rats, she was still shocked by what she found as she explained in the comments.
When someone asked why she was so calm, she replied: "Well we do live in a farm so it’s not the craziest thing to find inside!"
She added: "I love animals so much that after a quick freak-out after finding them, I was stoked to get a close look."
The video was watched more than one million times and it divided viewers – with some saying the baby rodents were precious and others demanding they be killed.
One person blasted: "Freaking rats! You gotta problem! I would be flipping out."
"Feed them to the chickens, they love baby mice!" suggested someone else.
But a man commented: "To the people saying throw them away – you were pink and slimy when you were born and none threw you away."
Someone else said: "Ahh so cute but don’t let your emotions take over they will grow up very destructive."
