In June, the Department of Defence will hand their findings on UFO sightings to the US Congress. But experts have said the many leaked videos of UFO sightings are irrefutable, and must be taken seriously.

Daniel Drezner, professor of international politics at Tufts University, wrote in the Washington Post “we need to talk about UFOs”.

Referencing the upcoming Pentagon report, he said: “It is increasingly respectable to acknowledge that unidentified aerial phenomena are a thing.”

Recently, after former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump weighed in on the subject, Mr Drezner repeated his belief in UFOs.

He said: “What I do know is that UFOs exist … we can’t ignore this any more.”

Leslie Kean, author and independent journalist, echoed Mr Drezner’s comments to USA Today.

She said: “There’s no question anymore that UFOs are real.”

Ms Kean added she’s open to connecting UFOs with extraterrestrial life, but she’s quick to distance herself from conspiracy theorists.

The people who have researched UFOs the most tend to be “agnostic about what they are,” she said.

She also hopes the growing interest in the topic will prompt study from scientists who may offer other explanations.

Tom Rogan, a UFO investigator and researcher, has claimed the spacecraft are very much “real”.

Mr Rogan told LBC’s Iain Dale: “I don’t really think it is a question of whether people believe in UFOs anymore.

“They are real, the issue is what quantity of them are real.

“That 99.9 percent probably are weather phenomena, a plane that gets misidentified or someone who is confused.

“But this small percentage is very real.”

Documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbel released UFO footage which appears to shows as many as 14 ‘flying crafts’ swarm the US warship USS Omaha off the coast of San Diego, California.

The 46-second clip was posted on Twitter after being reportedly filmed on July 15, 2019.

Writing on Twitter this week, Mr Corbel said: “2019 – US Navy warships were swarmed by UFOs; here’s the RADAR footage that shows that.”

The video showed what appeared to be mysterious spheres hovering above the ocean before disappearing into the water.
