UFO frenzy as strange glowing light filmed darting across Cornwall sky

Bizarre footage of a bright object darting in the night sky has sparked wacky theories that aliens have arrived in Cornwall.

YouTube user LMX2001 was tuning into Hayle Beach Live Webcam channel to watch a beautiful sunset when they captured the unusual movement of what looked like a UFO.

The user said: "I noticed a strange small light hovering above the sea so I used a desktop screen recorder to capture it."

In the clip, which has garnered more than 163,000 views, a bright light remains motionless on the right side of the screen.

Seconds later, it starts to move and gains speed before darting across the sea to the left side. As it moves, it appears to leave a trail of shadows behind in the sky.

The UFO stays in the same position for a while before shooting straight up at a very high speed and disappearing within the clouds.

The video was even reviewed by conspiracy theorist Scott C Waring, who is known for making outlandish claims.

He told his followers that he's convinced that there is a base of aliens operating along the UK coast.

"This is proof that UFOs exist off the coast of the UK and even have an alien base off Hayle Beach," Scott said. "But is it an alien underwater base or a human military underwater base?"

Viewers were fascinated by the object's unpredicted flight of path.

One said: "Its motion was to direct the centre of the webcam. It must have known it would be caught on camera. Sweet video."

A second wrote: "Awesome extraterrestrial alien UFO shooting upwards at lightspeed!"

Others believed it was more likely to be a drone operated by some beachgoers.

UFOs, Aliens and Outer Space

  • ‘1,000mph’ UFO spotted over Las Vegas
  • Objects ‘split in two’ in sky
  • Mystery ‘craft’ seen from SpaceX rocket
  • USS Nimitz UFO tech to be revealed
  • A viewer commented: "Looks like a drone. A real UAP is unaffected by the weather. This light bobbles up, down, and around slightly in response to the wind. When it moves from the right of the video to the centre, it even bobbles up and down a bit more."

"Notice how when the guy who appears bottom right, moves to the right, the 'light' moves to the left at the same rate?" asked the second.
