Secret Barack Obama files include ‘jackpot’ information about UFO sightings

The Barack Obama Presidential Library has claimed it has tens of thousands of pages relating to the possible existence of UFOs.

Following a Freedom of Information Act request, the Presidential Library revealed it currently stocked "3,440 pages and 26,271 electronic files" possibly related to the existence of unidentified flying objects.

The 14th Presidential Library received the Freedom of Information Act request from John Greenewald Jr., acting on behalf of The Black Vault.

The Black Vault, a clearinghouse for declassified documents, releases archived files obtained through Freedom of Information requests as PDFs, with reports released dating back to as early as the 1980s.

Their latest haul of classified documents was described as a "jackpot" by their Twitter account, which tweeted out a screenshot of their FOI response.

Greenewald asked the Presidential Library for "documents and communications about the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program and photos and videos of Unidentified Flying Objects, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena/Phenomenon, and the Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program."

The totals, which were said to be "estimates" of "potentially responsive records" showed 29,711 unique files that could be in relation to UFOs.

The library added though that it may take some time to sort through all of the documents.

The documents should be no surprise to avid UFO information hunters, with the 44th President of the United States admitting on The Late Show with James Corden that UFOs are real.

In an interview on the show, he said: "When it comes to aliens, there are some things I just can't tell you on air. But what is true is that there is footage and records of objects in the sky that we don't know exactly what they are.

"How they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. So I think that people still take that seriously and try to figure out what that is."

Greenewald may be waiting some time for the documents to be released, with thousands of documents to release and presumably redacted, Vice reported.
