Residents of a new-build estate have been left to paddle up sh*t creek after their local council installed a massive dung pipe just metres from their front doors.
The poop chute was installed following a leak in the underground sewage network, upsetting local residents who have just moved into the Wendelburie Rise estate in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
Homes on the estate are on sale from at least £272,000, with one house on the estate being listed for £560,000 – with the huge pipe practically acting as an underpass along a path.

One resident told Metro.co.uk there have been sewage problems on the estate for at least 12 months, claiming sewage has been “coming up into their new homes”.
“It’s a disgrace,” he added.
A spokesperson for Anglian Water, the company in charge of water management in the area, said the company expects the work to be completed by the end of March.
“We’ve been in close contact with all local residents throughout, and know this work has been hugely disruptive for them – we’re sorry for this," they said.

The Daily Star has contacted Bovis Houses, which manages the Wendelburie Estate, for comment.
