NBA YoungBoy Surpasses Jay-Z for Most Billboard 200 Entries

The 23-year-old rapper previously tied the ‘Run This Town’ emcee with 24 albums on the chart before the Baton Rogue spitter released his sixth project of the year, ‘Ma’ I Got a Family’.

AceShowbiz -NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again has just scored a new feat in his career. The Baton Rogue rapper has surpassed Jay-Z for the most entries on the Billboard 200 after releasing his latest album “Ma’ I Got a Family”.

Just several weeks before, the young hip-hop star broke a tie with Jigga for the number 5 spot on the albums chart with 24 albums each after he dropped his mixtape “3800 Degrees”. The 23-year-old has now broken the number of album entries after his sixth project of the year got released last week and made it debut at No. 7 on the chart this week, moving 37,000 album-equivalent units.

This means the Roc Nation founder now falls to the sixth spot for the most album entries on the Billboard 200 chart. It should be noted that Billboard does not consider Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles‘ collaborative album “Everything Is Love” as part of either artist’s solo discography.

While YoungBoy has more album entries on the Billboard chart, he hasn’t banked as many No. 1s as Jay-Z. The 52-year-old rapper currently boasts 14 No. 1 albums while YoungBoy only has 3.

YoungBoy isn’t slowing down this year following his release from jail in October 2021. His 16th mixtape “Colors” was released in January, followed by his fourth studio album “The Last Slimeto” in August. Another mixtape, “Realer 2”, arrived in September, before he released “3800 Degrees”, his 24th entry on the Billboard 200 chart, in early October.

His engineer Jason “Cheese” Goldberg recently announced that the “Outside Today” spitter is currently putting out together a collaborative album with only artists from his hometown of Baton Rogue, Louisiana. “Calling all Baton Rouge artists,” Cheese said in an Instagram video. “I just got word from Top, he wants to drop a tape with all of you guys on there.”

As for the criteria, it’s not that extensive as he said, “No matter who you are, if you’re from Baton Rouge try to get a hold of me. Let’s put together a project of everyone from out there.” Cheese went on encouraging, “Send the info. Everybody that knows me, send their info. Let’s put together a project of everybody from out there. Top wants to promote it. Top wants to get on two songs with the fans’ help. So get at me.”
