Nadine Coyle ‘signs up’ for I’m A Celeb

The former Girls Aloud member has reportedly signed up for the next series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here .

Nadine Coyle, 34, is the latest famous face rumoured to be jetting Down Under, and show bosses are allegedly excited to have her on board – anticipating she'll discuss her tense friendships with Kimberly Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

According to The Sun, the Irish beauty is hoping a stint in the jungle will help revive her flagging career.

A source told the publication Nadine's "refreshingly honest perspective" on years in the girl group has gone down well with ITV executives.

"Nadine is a big name and ITV was keen to get her. It’s no secret there’s no love lost between [Nadine and Cheryl] and Nadine is refreshingly honest about what went on [in Girls Aloud] from her perspective", the insider said.

"I’m A Celebrity could well be the start of something big for her again."

Other celebrities hotly tipped to be heading to camp are Love Island's Laura Anderson, Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon and Rak-Su's Myles Stephenson.

Girls Aloud formed on talent show Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002, and went on to become a household name in the UK and overseas.

The group, which included Nadine, Kimberly, Cheryl, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts, achieved a string of twenty consecutive top ten singles in the United Kingdom, including four number ones, along with seven certified albums, of which two reached number one.

However, the band called in quits almost a decade ago and Nadine admitted in an interview she isn't in contact with the singers.

Speaking to the i paper last year, the brunette beauty said: "I’m not in touch with them.

“I haven’t seen the girls since we finished our last tour together which was a really long time ago."

Nadine revealed the girls were jealous of her because she was given more solo parts during their pop-tastic tracks.

"A thing that did cause stress in the band was the fact that I was given more lines," she added.
