Loose Women’s Andrea McLean strips to blue string bikini for hot tub soak

With temperatures climbing up and down the UK, Andrea McLean took advantage of the heat this weekend and headed for a dip in a hot tub.

The presenter, who left the Loose Women panel last year, is currently enjoying a staycation in a mystery location, wrapping up the half-term break with a getaway in the British countryside.

Sharing an update with fans on Instagram, Andrea, 51, could be seen reclining in the frothy water, the sun beaming overhead.

Her swimsuit, designed by Melissa Odabash Swimwear, featured a string halter neck, gold clasps, and a zigzag pattern across the bust.

Retailing at £108 for the bikini top alone, the garment is described as the "Cancun zigzag azure" look from the brand's 2021 cruise collection.

Keeping her face from the sun, Andrea paired the swimsuit with some aviator frames by Ray-Ban and a chic woven hat by high street retailer Oliver Bonas.

In her caption, Andrea shared a checklist, adding a green tick next to the words: "Staycation vibes…Sunshine. Hat. Shades. Bubbly water."

Designer Melissa Odabash took to the comment section below to compliment her styling of the bikini, writing: "Looking beautiful as always."

Andrea bid farewell to Loose Women in December of last year, with her co-star Brenda Edwards singing her out of the studio in an emotional goodbye.

The broadcaster has since admitted to feeling more "calm" since leaving the show, enjoying a dramatic change in pace after 13 years in the hot seat.

Since her exit, Andrea has established her own lifestyle brand, known as This Girl Is On Fire, which aims to offer support to women in everything from mindfulness to business.

Opening up about her Loose Women exit on Steph's Packed Lunch this year, Andrea said: "The pandemic changed everything in terms of my attitude. I'd always wanted to do something like this [This Girl Is On Fire] but I was always waiting for the right time.

"There are people who are way smarter than me, made all these plans for 2020, and they didn't know that wasn't the right time… So there's no such thing as a right time so why not just jump and hope it works."

She continued: "It was a hard decision to leave behind everything I knew, but you don't ever properly leave people, you still keep in touch…"
