Liam Payne has hinted he wants to make amends with his ex-fiancée after sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram suggesting their split was a "mistake".
In June, the former One Direction singer revealed that he and his now-ex-model-fiancée Maya Henry were separating after a 10-month-long engagement.
Liam and Maya seemed to be loved up so fans of the singer were surprised by the news, but it now seems that Liam wants her back.
The former boyband heartthrob shared a series of cryptic Instagram stories in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The stories shared by the singer hinted that he had regrets about ending his relationship with Maya Henry.
One of the posts that Liam wrote said: "Don’t let someone go if you really want to love them, even if you have to learn to love them through your own mistakes let your instinct tell you that you need them and keep them close, we are always running out of time we never gain it."
Liam made it clear who the not-so-cryptic messages were for.
Tagging his ex-fiancee's Instagram account in the following slide, before appearing to delete it, he added: "F**k me I am wise… I love you, we calm."
The 21-year-old model hasn’t publicly responded to the messages – though that isn't to say she didn't slide into his DMs privately.
Liam Payne and Maya Henry started dating in August 2018.
They got together after Liam's split from singer Cheryl, who he has a son with.

The 27-year-old singer got down on one knee and popped the question last year to the 21-year-old.
Proposing with a diamond ring thought to be worth over £3million, Liam first spoke about their split in an interview on Steven Bartlett’s YouTube series Diary of a CEO.
When asked if he was single, he clarified: "I am indeed," explaining they ended things in lockdown.
In the interview he expressed how he was disappointed in himself because he keeps "hurting people".
He admitted that he isn't good at relationships, revealing: "I’ve just not been very good at relationships and I know what my pattern of things is with relationships, I feel at this point.
"I’m just not very good at them so I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else."
