Katy Perry channels Amanda Holden by flaunting killer curves in same £1.3k dress

Katy Perry has been spotted channelling her inner Amanda Holden, wearing the same dress to a very similar occasion.

The American pop icon, 37, shared several images of her in the tight-fitting yellow number with her 158million Instagram followers.

The gown, designed by Georgian fashion designer David Koma and retailing at £1,320, is one-sleeved and has laced cut-outs around the neck and upper thigh.

Katy paired it with a full face of glam makeup as she gave fans a sneak peak behind the scenes of American Idol, the talent show of which she is a judge.

Referencing the dress' bright colour she captioned her post: "Bts lookin like a baby chick on #americanidol rn."

Fans rushed to the comments section to compliment the star's vibrant outfit, with several leaving fire or heart-eyes emojis.

One person commented: "I'm obsessed with your aesthetic!"

A second said: "Yellow is your colour confirmed", while a third added: "This is what we needed."

However, eagle-eyed fans of TV talent shows will recognise the dress from Amanda's wardrobe.

A few weeks back the Britain's Got Talent judge, 51, shared a number of glam snaps in the dress with her 1.8million Instagram followers and, just like Katy, was filming for her show at the time.

She captioned the images: "We are back!! Filming @bgt Reunited with my tv family."

Fans were equally complimentary of how Amanda pulled off the look.

One said: "Yellow looks great on you Amanda".

A second said: "You look absolutely stunning xxx", while a third simply wrote: "Amazing."

This comes after Amanda was reduced to tears during BGT's grand return this week when a contestant performed a touching song for his daughters.

Yorkshire dad Nick Edwards, 35, was shockingly pulled from the audience at an audition and asked to perform for the judges.

Before he sang he confessed he was incredibly nervous as he fought back tears, saying: "Hopefully I'll keep the nerves and crying away while I do this."

However, by the time his performance had finished it was Amanda, Alesha Dixon, Declan Donnelly and most of the audience who were in tears.
