Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, and Rosanne Cash are part of the all-star lineup slated to perform for the newly announced streaming concert Keep the Music Playing. Presented by Nashville online broadcaster Acme Radio Live and sponsored by Jack Daniel’s, the June 17th event will benefit Music Health Alliance.
With performances taking place in a variety of well-known Nashville locations, from the Ryman Auditorium to Dino’s, Keep the Music Playing will feature both live and pre-taped music. Radio personality Justin Hammel and Kathie Lee Gifford will host the benefit, and additional performers include Keb Mo, John Oates, Rodney Crowell, Katie Pruitt, Devon Gilfillian, Andrew Combs, Erin Rae, Craig Morgan, Jim Lauderdale, Sam Bush, Sara Evans, and Jaime Wyatt.
Music begins at 5 p.m. CT and can be heard at acmeradiolive.com, which also lists the full lineup. Additionally, through its COVID-19 relief efforts with Music Health Alliance, Spotify will match all donations up to a collective total of $10 million.
Since 2013, Music Health Alliance has been working provide musicians and music industry professionals with healthcare resources around insufficient coverage, pre-existing conditions, medical debt, and a variety of other issues. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Nashville tornado, Music Health Alliance launched the COVID-19 and Tornado Relief Plan to provide immediate assistance and relief to the community.
