Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that she joined adult-only site OnlyFans to avoid receiving grim snaps from horny Instagram users.
The 40-year-old actress was recently informed that her contract at Hollyoaks had been terminated because she refused to take down her account on the subscription service platform.
Sarah, who has played Mandy Richardson in the Channel 4 soap since 1996, announced last month that she'd joined the Over-18s website to share her racy snaps with followers.
The mother of one says she's received heaps of support from friends and family since her decision and revealed that she believes OnlyFans is "much safer" than Instagram.
Speaking to Daily Star, Sarah explained: "They [Hollyoaks] talk about the younger audience but the younger audience can't access OnlyFans.
"People can contact you and send unsolicited picture on Instagram. You can report them but they can make another account and message you again and again.
"The sort of trolling and abuse on Instagram is continuous and you can't really stop it but for me OnlyFans is a much safer space."
She went on to reveal that she's stopped access her direct messages on Instagram due to amount of grim photographs sent by horny fans.
"You can imagine the sort of pictures that gets sent," said Sarah.
"On Instagram, if you click on a direct message and there's an image attached to it you cannot not see it because it's just there.
"I stopped going into my DMs on Instagram because I was getting so many messages that were making me feel uncomfortable and a bit vulnerable. It's not nice having that stuff sent to you if you don't want it."
She added: "If someone flashed you in the street you'd report them to the police so why is it any different on Instagram? Someone you don't know is essentially flashing you or worse. I don't want to see that.

"On OnlyFans, if someone sends you a picture it's pixelated so if I wanted to open it, it would be my choice and makes me feel more control of the whole situation."
The TV personality went on to confirm that she's received plenty of exciting opportunities since leaving Hollyoaks and is excited for the future.
