Gary Barlow apologises to Take That fans over tech fail that costs them Greatest Hits tour tickets

Take That’s Gary Barlow has apologised after a big tech fail left many fans without Greatest Hits tour pre-sale tickets.

Tickets went on sale for some fans yesterday (September 27), though they could only access them if they pre-ordered the band’s new greatest hits compilation Odyssey.

This then generated a pre-sale code to access tickets, though some fans took to social media to air their frustration after See Tickets crashed and their codes were rendered invalid after trying again.

Gary has since apologised to fans, writing on Twitter: “Sorry to hear of all the problems this morning. We’re being told it’s due to high demand. You’d think they’d know this by now. Hope you all get sorted #tt30.”

Fellow member Howard Donald also sent his apologies, though promised to make it up in the most lovely way possible.

“Sorry for that our management are on it! It’s basically a system crash because we are so mega!!!” he wrote. “Next time we will personally deliver them to you door in the morning with warm croissants and a pot of tea!”

See Tickets has issued their own apology over the blunder, saying in a statement: “We are aware there have been some problems with buying tickets during the pre-sale for the Take That tour, these problems are being looked into but please keep trying.

“We apologise to any fans who have had issues buying their pre-sale tickets this morning.”

Take That announced details of their upcoming tour last week, with the band touring arenas and stadiums across the UK next year. General sale tickets will go on sale tomorrow (September 28) at 9.30am on both See Tickets and Ticketmaster.
