Dave’s new album ‘Fortune Favors the Bold’ consists of 23 other songs and features guest appearances from the likes of Kid Capri, Cordae, Coi Leray and Ghostface Killah among others.
AceShowbiz –Dave East‘s new record “Fortune Favors the Bold” is finally out. To celebrate the album release, the “Black Rose” artist treated fans to a music video for one of its tracks “Hustlers” featuring Tyga.
The MV, which arrived on Friday, July 14, sees Dave and Tyga rapping in a big white mansion. The two rap stars are surrounded by a group of women who are dressed in black bikinis and veils.
“Money on the floor, b***hes on the couch/ Bought another watch, I could’ve bought a house/ Posin’ for the cameras when we walkin’ out/ Only hustlers understand the s**t I’m talking ’bout,” the 35-year-old spits in the chorus. “Break it out the pack, put it on the scale/ I just need a addy, send it through the mail/ I be with some felons that ain’t never voted/ And they can smell that odor ‘fore they pull us ovеr.”
Tyga, meanwhile, raps in his own bars, “I really want the bitch but I don’t need her/ Floatin’ at the top, I make it rain drop.” He then adds, Lookin’ like a movie but it’s not a prop.”
Aside from “Hustlers” Dave’s new album “Fortune Favors the Bold” consists of 23 other songs. The project also features guest appearances from the likes of Kid Capri, Cordae (YBN Cordae), Coi Leray, Ghostface Killah, Stacy Barthe, G-Eazy, Ty Dolla $ign as well as Jadakiss.
Dave previously revealed that the album’s title was inspired by Keanu Reeves‘ tattoo in the “John Wick” film franchise. “I Googled John Wick’s tattoo,” he shared. “I thought about what ‘Fortune favors the bold’ meant to me, and it totally fit the album.”
“I had to be bold to continue doing what I’m doing and dealing with all of the hate, the love, and the s**t I’ve dealt with,” he further elaborated. “I never let it affect my journey. I’ve seen a lot of fortune I didn’t know I was going to see by being bold and not taking ‘No’ for an answer. This is a statement.”
