MARRIED at First Sight UK is upon us as eight new couples attempt to navigate married life after meeting for the very first time at the altar.
It takes a bold type to try and find marital bliss on this show, but brand new bombshell Alexis Economou is up for the challenge.
Who is Alexis on Married At First Sight UK 2021?
Alexis, 28, is a London-based model who loves to post pictures from her glam photoshoots to her Instagram account @alexiseconomoux.
She has been described as a 'bold, lively and an incredibly strong woman' and has previously admitted she can often be misjudged for being opinionated and territorial.
Reportedly, Alexis took a break from dating to ‘work on herself’ but is now ready to find ‘The One’.
Expressing nerves about her future spouse, she said: “Even though I don’t have a major type, I still want him to be cute; I want to be attracted to him.
“I don’t want him to think I’m a bit much.
"Even though I’m quite chilled, I have an upbeat bubbly side to me.”
What has Alexis said about appearing on the show?
The stunning model is looking for a guy who is “ambitious, well-educated, well spoken and family orientated,” as well as “understanding, compassionate and affectionate”.
Her future partner must be her best friend, which to her means that he should also be emotionally available and have great communication skills.
Alexis said: “I’ve applied to this to find the good guy, to find someone genuine and someone who wants commitment.
“I give my all and I’m very supportive. I’m looking for someone on my wavelength and I want someone who is going to take the reins a little bit.”
Alexis has no idea who the experts might have picked out for her, but trusts that they will have found "at least glimpses of what I am looking for".
She said: "I don’t believe you can get every single piece that you need.
"Because I am an open-minded person, if I see the great qualities overpower the little things, then I can roll with it and give people a chance.
"Some people take a little longer to open and warm up than others and need some encouragement."
When is Married At First Sight UK on TV and how can I watch it?
Married at First Sight UK kicked off on Monday 30 August on E4.
E4 bosses have promised more drama than ever before on the show, which is now in its sixth season.
Relationship experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson and Charlene Douglas will be guiding the newly-weds along their way, although fans of the show will know that the course of true love never did run smooth.
This series will also welcome the first ever same-sex couple to take part in Married At First Sight, and will therefore feature seven women and nine men this year.
The show airs every week Monday to Thursday at 9pm and you can also catch the first four episodes on All4.
