This 'Game of Thrones' Theory About Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister Getting Married Is Truly Wild

This post contains spoilers for Game of Thrones. Turn back now if you’re not caught up.

Gather ’round, children, because there’s a new Game of Thrones theory that is truly a wild ride. And while all theories that don’t end with Sansa Stark on the throne are irrelevant IMO (nothing but respect for MY queen, know what I mean?), this one involving Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister is definitely worth considering.

So as you might know, Westeros is royally f*cked. The White Walkers are coming, they have an ice dragon, and the regular humans need to unite. Only, they don’t want to, which presents even more problems because everybody wants to rule the world. Tears for Fears was really onto something there.

Since they all need to come together and there are plenty of families who believe they’re the rightful heir to the throne, fans think an alliance needs to be made. No, not that weird aunt-nephew-lover alliance Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are making. There’s a different one to consider, apparently!

Jon is the crowd favorite up north, and Cersei will literally kill anyone who tries to get in her way down south, which means they make a natural alliance, because sure, why not. The International Business Times said, “If Jon Snow marries Cersei Lannister, then he will have the army of both the King’s Landing and Winterfell, which can actually help him defeat the White Walkers.”

They do make a good point. Though Jon refused to call her his Queen last season, so they’re not exactly seeing eye to eye right now. Plus, would Cersei ever actually marry anyone who is not her cringe-y brother/lover Jaime Lannister?

Since Sophie Turner is telling all her spoilers to everyone but the media, we’ll all just have to wait and see if the ice dragon freezes all of Westeros as “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” plays and the screen fades to black. Cannot wait.
