A teenager who died after being found unconscious at a bus stop has been named by locals as Chelsea Blair.

The 19-year-old was found in Leeds shortly after 5am yesterday and passersby attempted to revive her with CPR as emergency services raced to the scene.

Susan Blair, the youngsters aunt, paid tribute to her, saying: "Thanks to all who tried to help my beautiful niece Chelsea, she finally got what she wanted, RIP my beautiful angel."

West Yorkshire Police is currently treating her death as unexplained and is still subject to investigation by officers.

Bus driver Tracy Aitchison, who stopped to help at the scene, told Leeds Live: “I was the driver of the 16a bus going to Pudsey Bus Station.

“As I approached the bus stop I could see somebody laid on the floor. I let the passengers on the bus and I then went to the two gentleman who were with the young girl.

“One was giving CPR and the other was on the phone to the ambulance. I asked if there was anything I could do and a couple of minutes later the police arrived and took over.”

A police spokesman said: "A post mortem is due to take place today. There won’t be any further police updates until the outcome of the post mortem is known."
