A new teacher was overwhelmed when a student handed her a note after their class.

The woman received the heartwarming message just three weeks after beginning her career.

The unknown Welsh student handed her a note that paid tribute to her skills as an educator.

It said: "I just want to say thank you for being probably the best teacher here.

"It's Monday and first period so I wasn't in the best mood so I like having you to make my day."

The new teacher, who shared the note on Reddit, was overwhelmed by the gesture.

In a comment, she added: "I'm definitely going to keep this note.

"There are a small handful of kids in each of my classes that are making this job worthwhile right now."

Many people shared their joy at seeing the sweet note.

One retired teacher commented: "The oldsters will tell you to make a file and save those things.

"I have a file like this that goes back almost 20 years now. I look at it occasionally when I am having a s***** day and it never fails to brighten my spirit.

"My favorite has the be the kid who wrote a glowing note about how much she enjoyed my class and ended with "Also, you remind me of my grandpa.

"Sorry, that was random." Talk about making you feel old….In fact, I think I'll go look at it right now."

Another agreed, adding: "I always kept a file of stuff like this. One lovely note can make up for a whole week of bull****."

Another teacher encouraged her to keep a file, adding that the memories make tough times easier.

They wrote: "Keep a notebook of these! It will inspire you to be the best every day and help you through dark days!"
