Sex addict slept with hundreds of men and used Instagram as ‘playground’

A former sex addict has admitted to sleeping with 100 to 200 people and at the height of her addiction had sex with two or three new men a week.

Laurie Jade Woodruff blamed Instagram which she said acted like a drug and fed her thirst for no-strings sex.

She would dress up in provocative gear, despite admitting she didn’t really enjoy posing in it, and post the photos online.

Within minutes, compliments and naughty private messages would be rolling in.

The 31-year-old said: “Instagram is a playground full of temptation.

“At my worst, I was obsessed with the thrill of sleeping with strangers.

"And social media made it scarily easy to do.

"Forget going to a bar or bothering with pricey dating apps, Instagram would help me hook up in minutes for free from the comfort of home.”

She explained sex was like a quick fix.

The recovering nymphomaniac – who says she is now celibate – admits Instagram made it so easy to attract attention.

However it took her years to realise how damaging the attention was.

Men would message her constantly. Some liked her photos and told her they would like to take her out but others were explicit in all the things they would like to do to her.

She told The Sun : “The sex was so exciting. It was the buzz of making out with a stranger that had me hooked.

"It was my ultimate fantasy. But I felt powerless to control my desire."

Laurie said she would sometimes see a guy again if there was a real connection but most of them were one-night stands.

Part of the addiction was about running in the other direction from anything like commitment.

The mum terrifies herself now about how she put herself at massive risk of potential danger when she’d go back to a bloke’s place without having a clue who he was.

One Friday night Laurie Jade realised she needed to change when she met a man she had been chatting to on Instagram.

He told her she was beautiful and seemed really nice but in bed he changed in a heartbeat.

He was too rough and when it was over she left like a shot; it was the wake up call she needed.

Another turning point was the death of her son Arthur, who died of Sudden Infant Syndrome or cot death in 2015 as she fell asleep breastfeeding him and awoke to him dead in bed with her.

She gave birth to her son Henry in June 2017 but even with him in her arms she caught herself texting men and knew she had to take drastic measures.

Laurie feels a part of her will always be addicted to sex but things are looking up now as she pursues her dream as a writer and has two books under her belt.
