Morrisons slashes the price on petrol and diesel at all UK petrol stations

Earlier this week, Asda slashed the cost of fuel by 4p per litre for motorists.

Shortly after, Sainsbury’s announced its incredible offer on petrol and diesel.

And now Morrisons is also dropping prices on fuel for the second time this month.

The supermarket is reducing the cost of diesel by up to 4p per litre and unleaded by up to 3p a litre.

“June is turning out to be a very good month for motorists ”

How long will the offer last?

Morrisons announced the price reductions yesterday which will be available at all UK petrol stations.

Why are they cutting costs on fuel?

The supermarket is hoping to give motorists the best deals on petrol this month.

This is the second time Morrisons has passed reductions in fuel prices to customers.

Ashley Myers, Head of Fuel at Morrisons, said: “June is turning out to be a very good month for motorists as we pass on these savings to customers.”

3. Choose a big station

Petrol stations buy their fuel on the wholesale market, so the big buyers are better at slashing prices.

4. Do your research

It’s important to check before you buy, so if you’ve got time on your hands make sure you do some research.

A good website to check is PetrolPrices.com as it allows customers to compare costs in their area.

It also lists the average prices, so you know if you’re being ripped off.
