More than half of Brits are unhappy in their homes and dream of moving on, survey finds – The Sun

MORE than half of people are unhappy in their homes and dream of moving on, a survey has found.

They long for a bigger home, with size taking over from location as the biggest factor in making a forever home.

Price, closeness to green spaces and parking are the next most important things.

Bill Bailey, from online estate agent nested.com, which carried out the survey, said: “As a nation we are unsatisfied where we currently live — with the majority of us planning on moving again in order to bag that property of our dreams.”

The survey shows 53 per cent of homeowners want to move — but some are more content than others.

In Leicester, London and Plymouth about two thirds have itchy feet whereas, in Belfast, the proportion is just a quarter.

More than half (57 per cent) say size outweighs any other factor in finding a dream home.

The number of bedrooms is second most important ahead of location.
