Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in 2018 after Meghan’s lengthy career as an actress. In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as working members of the Royal Family, meaning that Meghan can now start writing for her lifestyle blog again. The couple live in Montecito with their two children, Archie, two and seven-month-old Lilibet, which could make great topics for her lifestyle blog, should Meghan wish to start it up again.

Prior to becoming a working royal, Meghan ran a lifestyle blog called ‘The Tig’.

She wrote the blog whilst living in Canada when she was filming Suits, and also when staying in her home country America.

When her relationship with Prince Harry became public, Meghan closed the blog down.

However, now Meghan is no longer a working royal, there is some speculation about ‘The Tig’ returning.

Analysis of Google search data revealed that online searches for ‘How to start a blog’ exploded on January 30.

The phrase soared by 880 percent after the speculation started.

This was after files that were recently made public revealed that ‘The Tig’, had been trademarked.

This started speculation that the Duchess of Sussex will begin to upload on there again.

A new finding by creative resource Design Bundles revealed online searches for ‘How to start a blog’ skyrocketed to almost nine times the average volume.

This was an unprecedented spike in people Googling how to begin blogging.

Meghan ended her lifestyle blog, ‘The Tig’, in April 2017, months before her engagement to Prince Harry was announced.

They said: “Meghan Markle has been one of the most influential women on the planet since she joined the Royal Family and these findings only emphasise that.

“The rise in searches for those wishing to follow in Meghan’s footsteps and start their own blogs is unprecedented.

“It shows that even a small action by the Duchess can cause a ripple effect across the world.

“If ‘The Tig’ does come back, royal fans can expect to see content surrounding matters that are close to the Duchess’ heart.

“For example, discussions around mental health, travel, campaigning, personal updates and reviews.”

Since leaving the Royal Family, the couple have a reported £112million deal with Netflix and an £18million deal with Spotify.

They also began their nonprofit charitable foundation Archewell in October 2020.

On June 4, 2021 they welcomed their second child Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
