The Duchess of Sussex has a new ring that wards off the “evil eye”.
The £250 gold band is based on the Hamsa – the ancient “hand of God” symbol made up of an open hand with an eye in the palm.
Meghan, 37, attended the Palace Christmas lunch yesterday but has had a tough time recently after claims of a rift with the Duchess of Cambridge, friction with staff over her “difficult” behaviour and just days ago estranged dad Thomas blasting her for “ghosting” him.
The duchess wore the new ring this week on a visit to a nursing home in West London. It is from jewellers Kismet by Milka and said to bring happiness, luck, health and good fortune.
A royal fan said: “It’s a Hamsa, protection from the evil eye.”
A royal source added: “Meghan is spiritual. She believes in taking time to be in tune with feelings. It’s been a tough time.
"Perhaps she believes the ring will help with her mindfulness.”
The evil eye is a curse or legend believed to be cast by a malevolent glare usually catching a person unaware.
Many cultures believe that receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury – and have talisman’s to protect them.
