Have a merry McChristmas! McDonald’s unveils its festive menu – including TWO new burgers and the return of the Cheese Melt Dippers

It’s going to be a tasty Christmas at McDonald’s this year, with two new festive treats making the menu and old fan-favourites making a comeback. 

The fast food chain has unveiled its limited edition festive menu, which will be rolled out across the UK from November 17. 

The selection, available for six weeks, includes two new £4.89 burgers: a Festive Stack with beef and cheese sauce and a Festive Crispy Chicken with chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating and cranberry sauce. 

Customer favourites like the Cheese Melt Dippers, £1.89, and the £1.49 Celebration McFlurry will also make a return.

The Festive Stack contains two beef patties with a red onion relish, cheese sauce, bacon, white and red onions, lettuce and cheddar cheese in a glazed brioche bun. 

It can be enjoyed on its own or for £6.39 as part of a meal. 

Meanwhile, the Festive Crispy Chicken is made of breast fillet, cranberry sauce, a stuffing-inspired sage and onion mayo, bacon, red onion, lettuce, cheddar cheese and comes in a poppy and sesame seed bun. 

The Festive Pie, first released in 2016, also returns. The £1.19 sweet treat is made from custard and mincemeat.  

McDonald’s is also releasing festive drinks, including a Choco Fudge Latte that will set you back £1.79 for regular and £2.09 for large, and a Hot Chocolate Deluxe for £1.39.

Fans will be able to get their hands on the Celebration McFlurry, pictured, again this year, costing £1.49 for a regular

Yesterday, Greggs delighted fans by announcing when the beloved festive bake is returning to the shelves. 

But fans will have to wait another two weeks to get their hands on their cult Christmas classic Festive bake, which will also be available in a vegan version for the first time this year from 22 November.  

On this year’s Christmas menu, Greggs is also offering a Pigs Under Blankets Baguette, Sweet Mince Pies, and Christmas Lunch Soup as well as several festive drinks, all under £4 each. 

Meanwhile, Subway is introducing a brie sub this year, and has announced the return of its Tiger Pig Sub, which contains a giant pig in blanket, with the menu available at Subways’ restaurants from tomorrow until December 28.
