Lydia Bright shares her newborn baby essentials as she packs hampers for pregnant friends

Lydia Bright gave birth to her daughter almost four months ago and she's learned a few things as a new mum that she's happily shared.

The ex-TOWIE star has been doing a weekly 'mum hack' to help any other new parents out there, revealing her own essentials that she said were vital to her when daughter Loretta Rose was a newborn.

As a gift to two of her close friends that are currently expecting, Lydia packed up a hamper with a selection of items and showed her Instagram followers exactly what was inside.

"This week's mum hack is slightly different. Instead of talking about one particular product I am going to talk about a selection," Lydia explained as she sat on the floor of her living room.

"Two of my nearest and dearest are expecting [babies] very soon, so I thought my gift to them would be to pack a hamper full of the bare necessities that I definitely needed with a newborn."

Looking summery in a white and black polka dot strappy dress with her hair pulled up in a messy bun, Lydia got stuck into packing up the baskets.

In a sped-up video she could be seen unpacking boxes of her online orders and placing them inside.

She then carefully went through each item that she had bought, with the first being Water Wipes which she said were "the best I'd found on the market".

They are listed as containing 99.9 per cent water and retail from £2.70 for a pack of 60 wipes or £10 for a pack of four lots of 60 wipes at Boots.

Lydia also included a pack of nappies, cotton wool pad and buds for wiping eyes, as well as a pot of raw virgin coconut oil for the baby's skin.

She added a pair of Tommy Tippee baby scissors which are £1.50 on Amazon: "These are amazing nail scissors so that your baby doesn't scratch their face."

There was also vitamin D spray, which Lydia explained was for any mums who were breast feeding, and added that it was "good to have a vitamin D supplement".

Lydia then raved about a disco light, by brand Omeril that retails for £13.99 on Amazon, that she had used when Loretta was born.

"This kept Loretta entertained for so long, she loved this and still loves it now. Babies just love lights!"

The TV personality also said it was vital to include some plain vests, saying: "I find that when you have a baby everyone buys you loads of lovely fancy outfits, but really you just need the bare necessities."

With the hot weather arriving in most of the UK, Lydia added that a clip on fan is perfect to attach to your pram to keep your child cool if you're outside.

"It clips on to your buggy so when you're going for walks you don't have to worry about your baby overheating," she explained.

The VersionTECH Fan is currently out of stock on Amazon, but similar versions are available retailing from around £15.99.

Lydia then finished off her hampers with a plastic wrap and a pretty piece of lace ribbon, asking her followers if they enjoyed her hack for the week.
