Kate Middleton makes swift stylish outfit change from £58 jacket to £395 coat

It's been a while since we have seen The Duchess of Cambridge make a public appearance, but after making her first appearance since July last week, we got to see Kate Middleton step out once again.

Normally we're treated to one amazing outfit, however for Kate's visit to Windermere, Cumbria, we saw two looks and naturally each one provided our usual outfit envy.

On Tuesday, the mum-of-three sported her go-to black skinny jeans from Frame with her essential off-duty trekking boots from See by Chloe.

Then to dress appropriately for each occasion, Kate made a swift yet stylish change from a khaki jacket to a chic checked one, which gave us a lesson in how to dress up an outfit with simply changing your outerwear.

The Duchesses first appearance to the Windermere Adventure Training Centre saw Kate put on her adventurer hat as she joined in with the RAF Cadets mountain biking and even abseiling.

For the occasion, the 39-year-old opted to style up her outfit with her Seeland green quilted jacket which costs just £58.

From past public events, we have seen that Kate is a lover the brand as she has a traditional khaki coat which she has already worn twice this year – once during her Royal tour of Scotland and also for a visit to County Durham in April.

For her second engagement, Kate embarked on a boat trip on Lake Windermere with two of the "Windermere Children" in order to discuss their experiences.

In order to be dressed suitably for the occasion, instead of changing her outfit head-to-toe, the Duchess simply swapped her jacket for a more tailored and smart checked coat from Really Wild.

With the swift change also comes a staggering price difference for the items, as Kate's second coat can be brought for a whopping £395.

Whilst we big are fans of Kate's glam style, we also love seeing her in more dressed down, off-duty looks.

Of course we love to see how the Royal swaps her dresses for jeans, but one thing that Kate is definitely a professional at is wearing the most amazing coats.

Whether it's the incredible blue tartan coat from Holland Cooper that she wore on the final day of her tour of Scotland or her fantastic Massimo Dutti camel coat, there is nothing that she can't pull off.
