Love Island continues to be a hugely popular show, with millions across the UK tuning into the series to watch singletons in their quest for love.

The series airs on ITVX every night- apart from Saturdays. Have you ever wondered what the contestants do on the one day they have a break from filming?

Former Love Islander George Fensom, 24, who was dumped from this series first, has answered the question on everyone's lips in a TikTok video.

He said: "Basically on the Saturday you'd have a chill night. The boys chill with the boys, the girls chill with the girls and you'd have to talk about very unrelated storylines. This is when everyone gets their night off.

"You have to go to bed early. It was very boring, we didn't get any Maccies. We had the same dinner as normal with the caterers on site. On the chill nights the boys sleep with the boys and the girls sleep with the girls."

It's not the first time George has taken to social media to answer questions from fans about the show. In another candid Q&A, one person asked "How long does it take to get ready for bed?".

Explaining, George said: "When it comes to bedtime, the voice of god above will be like 'OK Islanders it's time for you to now get ready for bed'.

"That's when you see the scenes of us all walking in".

He went on to add: "Basically before we can go to bed you've got to keep your outfits on of what you were wearing that night because you've got to basically do your final beach hut before you go to bed, so it looks like it's rolled into one."

George explained that the girls will go upstairs as shown in the show to take their make-up off and get ready for bed while the boys wait downstairs.

Here they are called "one by one" to the beach hut with the Islander adding "So really until you've done your last beach hut you can't actually get ready for bed.

"After that, you start brushing your teeth, washing your face, this that and the other."

The 24-year-old confessed that the girls "still take quite a while to come downstairs for bed" and jokingly added, "just put on a T-shirt on".

Concluding, George said: "If it wasn't for the beach huts it would just be snappy but we've all just got to do a last closing beach hut on the thoughts of the day or if anything happened, if a bombshell came in the evening."

He added that the bedtime routine probably takes "around half an hour" in total from when they are told to go to bed.

George was coupled up with Jess Harding but was the first to leave the show. In a recent interview with OK!, he revealed that although he didn't find love, he made some great friends and was meeting up with Molly Marsh.

“I feel like I’ve got an emotional connection to the show now and the FOMO (fear of missing out) has been huge,” George said.

“As soon as Molly left the show, I reached out to her and sent her a message of support. I figured out when she’d be flying based on my own experience leaving the show and I wished her a safe flight.

“Things have been very manic with her given that she’s only just left, so she’s been doing lots of filming and promotional bits.

"We’ve exchanged some DMs on Instagram and we’re planning on meeting up now that we’re both outside of the villa to talk about our experiences.”
