Frogmore Cottage has a ‘much better energy’ than Harry and Meghan’s previous Kensington Palace home, a royal source told People magazine.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into the property in the grounds of Windsor Castle ahead of the arrival of son Archie earlier this month and have since carried out extensive work to transform it into the perfect family home.

A source told People magazine the house – just a stone’s throw from the castle – now feels ‘cute and warm’.

‘The energy of the space is so much better [than Kensington Palace],’ the source added. ‘It’s a total fresh start.’

It is thought the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into Frogmore Cottage in April, roughly a month before the arrival of Archie on 6 May.

They previously lived in Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge live in a 20-room apartment with their three children.

Before relocating, Harry and Meghan gave the interiors of their future home a complete overhaul – reportedly enlisting the help of former Soho House designer Vicky Charles.

Their building plans included adding fireplaces, staircases, and a floating floor, but keeping the original floorboards and shutters.

Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland was said to be offering ‘indispensable’ help while staying with the couple for a month.

Archie’s grandmother arrived shortly before Meghan gave birth, and returned to her home in LA just days ago.

Meanwhile, The Queen, Prince Charles and The Cambridges are all known to have dropped into the cottage to visit The Sussexs’.

Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney is believed to be visiting the couple at the moment, and was spotted in a toy store just minutes away from their home in Windsor.
