Craig Revel Horwood’s love life from being married to a woman to finding his soul mate

ITV’s Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood has had a string of past loves, but it looks like he’s finally found the one in his latest flame.

The Australian-British TV star, 57, is currently judging the 2022 lineup on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and has been lighting up our screens since joining the judging panel in 2004.

While Craig has a reputation for being the harshest of the Strictly judges, off screen he's found his soulmate with horticulturist Jonathan Myring.

Here, we take a look at Craig's past loves and his relationship history through the years…

Jane Horwood

The TV personality was first married in the 90’s, to Welsh-born Jane Horwood when he was just 25, and she was 30. The young pair met while living in a house share in London, when Craig was working in the West End with Miss Saigon.

In his autobiography, All Balls and Glitter: My Life, Craig told all on their relationship, writing "At the beginning of 1990, Jane and I became an item. I loved her zany qualities, her appreciation for the arts, her outgoing nature, her ability to converse with anybody, her strength, her passion – even her Welsh accent."

The relationship was short lived, and they split in 1992 after just two years of marriage – but it wasn’t because Craig would later come out as gay. Jane had an affair with another man, and left Craig for him.

Despite the sad ending, the pair remain good friends. Jane even runs Craig’s website for him now.

Speaking to Wales Online, he said: "We are friends now, Jane and I, but it wasn’t very amicable at the time.

"Now we can go out for lunch and talk about life honestly. I love her deeply as a friend, now and forever, and wish her all the happiness in the world."

Damon Scott

Craig vowed to stay single after this betrayal, but later found love with Britain's Got Talent puppeteer Damon Scott.

But things soon became unhealthy, with Damon saying alcohol was flowing often.

Damon told The Sun: "We could get through a bottle and a half of vodka between us in a night. At times that was a daily thing. If I drank that much now I’d be hospitalised."

They called quits on the relationship in 2016.

A source said of their split: “Craig and Damon haven’t been together for weeks. It was Craig’s decision to end it. He just couldn’t see a long-term future.

“It was an amicable split although it’s still strange for them adjusting to life without each other.”

Jonathan Myring

Craig went on to find love again with horticulturist Jonathan Myring, and this time, it looks like it will last. The happy couple announced their engagement in April 2020 and plan to wed in 2023.

Jonathan is 22 years Craig’s junior, and the pair met on Tinder.

They had somewhat of a whirlwind romance, with Jonathan moving into Craig’s Hampshire mansion after just 9 months. He regularly shares photos of the couple’s romantic trips on Instagram.

They’ve been to Craig’s native Australia, on helicopter rides, for picnics in Spain, and hang out with the Strictly cast together.

It was on a trip to Tasmania when Jonathan proposed, and Craig has never been happier.

“There’s such comfort in knowing you have somebody that loves you and wants to spend the rest of their life with you,” the Australian-born star told OK!.

“I feel like I have someone who has my back and I’ve got theirs.”

“I thought it was really sweet, actually, because Jonathan just said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’ It was absolutely perfect.”
