The layers and compartments are ideal for separating your children’s lunch, and I’ve found it a pound cheaper than at John Lewis at £7. Aldi do a slightly smaller 1.25l one for £4.99.

BAGS: Save some pennies by bagging yourself a double of your child’s fave rucksack, like the unicorn backpack from Claire’s Club for £10.80, instead of the Smiggle version which would set you back a staggering £25 — and that’s on offer from £37.

UNIFORMS: You might only be halfway through the year, but somehow the polo shirts are looking a bit worse for wear, so buying stain resistant tops is a must. At Asda, you can get a two-pack of polo shirts with “Stay White technology” for £2.50.
Whereas Sainsbury’s charge £7 for a three-pack of their stain-resistant polo shirts, so even buying two packs at Asda means you’ll be making a saving.
