Michael Bublé Is Going All Out for Super Bowl Sunday: 'This Is a Serious Job for Me!'

He’s one of the most beloved Canadians in the world, but Michael Bublé is fully embracing Super Bowl Sunday.

“When I’m on tour, I actually throw Super Bowl parties. I have for 15 years,” the singer — who is starring in bubly’s first Super Bowl commercial this year — tells PEOPLE exclusively. “All my crew guys are American from all over the States.”

And for Bublé, the grub he’ll be digging into is as important as the football game itself.

“A lot of burgers, a lot of hot dogs, a lot of chips, a lot of beer,” he says about his game day must-haves. “We always have these awesome football and NFL cakes. I have three fantasy football teams. This is serious job for me!”

Though Bublé’s latest tour doesn’t kick off until Feb. 13, the star says he’s previously gone all-out no matter where he is. “Wherever we are, we stop,” he says. “I’ve done it in Africa, I’ve done it in France, Germany. In Spain, I rented out the lobby of the hotel and we put up a huge screen and set it up to our computer and watched the game.”

Bublé admits it’s going to be a little “embarrassing” to see his face on TV during the halftime show this weekend when his bubly commercial airs in full, but it’s an experience that’s been well worth it.

“The truth is before I ever sat down for the commercial, getting the treatment and the script completely put my mind at ease because I knew how funny it was,” he says. “It’s not the first time in my life someone’s made fun of my name. I was in the best of hands, and it was so much fun.”
