Marie Osmond Asks for Prayers as Newborn Granddaughter Is Taken to NICU

So scary. Marie Osmond asked her fans for prayers as her newborn granddaughter was taken to the NICU.

“Asking for prayers for my precious granddaughter born this evening 6lbs 10 ounces,” the singer, 59, tweeted on Thursday, May 23. “So thankful she was able to be taken to children’s ICU in one of our amazing @CMNHospitals #gratitude that she is in their care!”

The Country Music Association Award winner’s daughter Brianna Blosil Schwep and her cinematographer husband, Dave Schwep, are the proud parents of the little one.

The new parents got engaged in November 2018. “I am so honored and grateful to be engaged to marry my best friend and lover Brianna Patricia-Lynne,” the director, 42, wrote on Instagram at the time.

He and his then-fiancée, 21, tied the knot the following month with an intimate ceremony with their parents, but they are planning a bigger celebration this year.

“Brianna and I committed to each other in a private ceremony with our parents,” David captioned a pic of the couple at the time. “We look forward to a larger celebration with our friends and family in the coming year. I am so grateful to be sharing my life with such an amazing human. #soulmate.”

Osmond’s daughter has six other siblings: Stephen, 36, Jessica, 31, Rachael, 29, Brandon, 22, Matthew, 19, and Abigail, 16. The “Paper Rose’s singer’s son Michael died by suicide at 19 in 2010.

This is Osmond’s fifth grandchild, and the Key Is Love author has a sixth on the way. Rachael is due to give birth in July.

“I’m so thrilled my kids are married to wonderful people and have started families of their own, there’s no greater joy on earth,” Osmond wrote on Instagram in March. “But… Where did the time go?”
