Kim Kardashian Says Quarantine Convinced Her to Stop Having Kids

Don’t worry, stressed and stranded parents everywhere. If you thought you were alone in your daily meditation of seriously questioning why you ever had kids in the first place, fear not: We are right there with you, and so is Kim Kardashian West.

With schools closed around the world and kids and parents trapped at home (and turning more into a multigenerational version of Lord of the Flies every damn day), even celebs quarantining in style are stressed the eff out about having their kids around 24/7. And for Kardashian West, it’s 100% removed any thoughts of having a fifth child from her mind.

“Let me say, being at home with four kids — if I ever thought for a minute that I wanted another one, that is out the door,” Kardashian West on The View this week (virtually on The View, that is; she phoned in from Kris Jenner’s house, where we all wish we were quarantining). How is she finding the WFH plus homeschooling plus never ever leaving experience? “It’s really tough,” she added.

Oh, Kim. You’ve truly never sounded like one of us.

One thing she’s certainly not feeling in her social isolation is loneliness, though: Also holed up with Kardashian West is her husband Kanye West, and their prominent posse of stylish spawn: Psalm, age 10 months; Chicago, age 2; Saint, age 4; and North, age 6. Plus Kris Jenner, of course, and what we can only assume is a fleet of nannies? No? Maybe not.

It’s clear Kim is taking on the lion’s share of the homeschooling hassle, though. “Being their teacher, too — my newfound respect for teachers!” she exclaimed on the show livestream. “They deserve so much. It’s been tough juggling it all. You really have to put yourself on the back burner and just focus on the kids.”

She did admit, however that “the kids just got on spring break, thank God!” and that they’re filling time with family viewings of “every single movie you could possibly imagine.” To which, once again, we say: You really are just like us, Kim. How did we never know??

Here’s how to keep your own kid fleet, however big or small, busy while they’re stuck at home.
