As they celebrate their daughter True‘s first birthday, exes Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are putting their child first.
“Khloé has no desire to shut Tristan out of True’s life. He is her father and Khloé is much bigger than that,” a source tells PEOPLE about Kardashian and the NBA player, who plans to see the 1-year-old for her birthday.
“They communicate about True of course, but they aren’t getting back together,” the source adds.
Kardashian, 34, and Thompson, 28, have yet to be publicly spotted together since he was accused of hooking up with Jordyn Woods, a longtime friend of the famous family, in February.

An insider told PEOPLE last month that Kardashian was trying to work out the best way to celebrate True’s birthday following the cheating scandal.
According to the insider, Kardashian’s family members — in particular, sister Kim Kardashian West — were furious with the NBA player, who was first caught allegedly cheating on Kardashian last year when photos and videos surfaced of him getting close to other women just two days before she gave birth to their daughter.
So for True’s birthday, “Khloé is figuring out how to get Tristan involved,” the source explained. “She can’t see how he can be around her family at a party, though. Everyone is just too upset with him.”
On Friday, both Kardashian and Thompson shared loving tributes to their baby girl.
“Happy birthday my sweet True!! You are my ultimate True love!” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star wrote on social media. “I am honored and so thankful to be your mommy! Today and until the end of time, I love you!! We have forever.”
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers star dedicated a post on Instagram, writing, “True-ly Perfect,” the basketball pro captioned the pictures. “My baby girl is one today. Man time goes by soo fast but I’m loving every minute of it. Can’t wait for us to sit home all day and watch lion king and paw patrol lol. #MyTwin.”
Kardashian recently told PEOPLE she was in disbelief that her baby was about to hit the one-year mark.
“It’s so corny but you don’t realize how fast time goes by until you see a child growing in front of you,” she said. “It’s scary and sad because it goes so fast. Can we slow down time?”
The Good American mogul added, “I am so utterly obsessed with her. This first year has been amazing. And I really feel like I was meant to do this.”
