Julia Roberts Talks Protecting Her Kids From Danny Moder Divorce Rumors

Keeping the kids out of it. Julia Roberts revealed how she protects her children from rumors that she and husband Danny Moder are divorcing.

“[We keep the rumors away from the kids] for the most part. Sometimes we are in the grocery store and I won’t even know something is out, but we’ll see a tabloid and we’ll all be standing there like, ‘Oh, that’s uncomfortable. This is really uncomfortable,’” Roberts, 50, said while covering Harper Bazaar’s November 2018 issue. “It can still hurt my feelings, because I’m so proud of my marriage.”

The Oscar winner and the cinematographer, 49, celebrated 16 years of marriage in July. “There’s so much happiness wrapped up in what we’ve found together,” she gushed. “What I like is that they write, ‘The $150 Million Divorce’ and then a week later, a different tabloid says, ‘The $275 Million Divorce.’ I’m like, ‘Well, somebody got a paycheck in the last week. This is getting good.”

The Pretty Woman star joined Instagram in June to shed a light on her strong marriage and fun-filled family life with twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 13, and son Henry, 11. “It’s definitely a balancing act and it’s been tricky figuring out what to post, because I am private, but I also am friendly,” she told the magazine. “I know that Sarah Jessica Parker, who is a friend and a person I really admire, has an incredible Instagram. She has conversations with people. The only people who can comment [on my posts] are the people I follow.”

Back in May, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Roberts and Moder “still have a crazy passion and love for each other” and are “always making time for each other.” Despite the challenges they’ve faced, the insider added that the duo “have a really solid, loving marriage” and are “hands-on” parents.
