It was date night for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson!
Four weeks after welcoming their third child, daughter Birdie Mae, Simpson, 38, was spotted out and about for the first time in Los Angeles since giving birth four weeks ago on March 19.
On Friday, the new mom was dressed in a long patterned black dress with her blonde hair in loose curls while Johnson, 39, opted for a denim shirt and dark jeans.
Simpson also showed off her date night makeup on Instagram, captioning her selfie: “The resurfacing of cheekbones ?? #CONTOUR.”
The pair are also proud parents to son Ace Knute, 5, and daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, who turns 7 on May 1.

In March, Simpson’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively about the birth of the couple’s daughter. Birdie weighed 10 lbs., 13 oz.
Simpson also announced the birth on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of her older daughter meeting the new addition. “We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson,” she wrote.
On Thursday, the mother of three shared a photo of a sweet father-daughter moment with a picture showing Johnson wearing a charcoal suit with a white shirt, stripped tie, and dark shades as he held the tiny tot in a car seat carrier (covered with a $3,600 Fendi baby blanket).
“Hot Dad Alert ?,” Simpson captioned the image on Instagram.
Shortly after baby Birdie’s arrival, a source told PEOPLE that Simpson couldn’t be happier with her family of five.
“Jessica is feeling good. The baby is doing really well,” the source said in March. “Birdie is perfect and Jessica is savoring every minute. They are elated. They are just soaking it all in.”
Maxwell and Ace “are so excited” and “can’t get enough of” their new baby sister, the source added.
