Jenelle and David Appear in Court Over Custody of Children After CPS Visits

Fighting for her children. Jenelle Evans and David Eason appeared in court on Thursday, May 16, after her sons, Jace and Kaiser, and the pair’s daughter, Ensley, were removed from their home, Us Weekly can confirm.

While the couple tried to get the kids back from child protective services, Us can confirm CPS took the children after the hearing.

The 27-year-old made headlines in April after her husband killed her French bulldog, Nugget. As a result, MTV cut ties with Evans, who has starred on Teen Mom 2 since its 2011 debut.

The fallout from the violent incident continued after her 4-year-old son, Kaiser, was taken to his grandmother Doris’ home on Friday, May 10, under the advisement from child protective services. (Evans shares Kaiser with her ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith, who previously filed for full custody of their son in July 2018 after alleging that his ex did drugs during her pregnancy.)

“Kaiser was taken away Friday without my consent, before Mother’s Day, and I have been in touch with my lawyer pertaining this matter,” Evans confirmed to Us on Monday. “CPS told Doris to take Kaiser without my consent and still have no legal paperwork signed by the judge stating my kids are taken from me.”

Jace, for his part, is living with Evans’ mother, Barbara. While the 9-year-old’s grandmother has had custody of him for the majority of his life, Jace was spending more time with Evans and Eason before the dog incident.

“My mom is keeping Jace from me, nobody else,” Evans claimed to Us on Monday. “And my mom is taking it out on me for being let go from MTV.”

Evans and Eason’s 2-year-old daughter Ensley, meanwhile, and his daughter from a previous relationship, Maryssa, were staying with Eason’s mother, per a source.
