Bring on the blue! Eddie Murphy’s pregnant girlfriend, Paige Butcher, revealed the sex of the couple’s second child together and the actor’s 10th kid overall.
“It’s going to be a boy,” Butcher told TMZ on Friday, September 14. When asked if the little one will be named after his dad, she said with a laugh, “Possibly. I don’t know.”
Butcher, 39, also expressed the couple’s eagerness to meet their newest family member. “Today is a good day,” she said while speaking with the website in Los Angeles and showing off her baby bump in a fitted gray dress.
The 57-year-old comedian’s rep confirmed the baby news to Us Weekly in a statement on August 28: “Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December.” One day earlier, Butcher debuted her growing bump in Beverly Hills.
In addition to 2-year-old Izzy Oona Murphy, whom he shares with Butcher, the Trading Places actor is also the father of Eric, 29, with Paulette McNeely; Bria, 28, Miles, 25, Shayne, 23, Zola, 18, and Bella, 16, with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell; Christian, 27, with Tamara Hood; and Angel, 11, with Mel B.
Murphy opened up about his blended family’s dynamic while speaking to HipHollywood in August 2016. “There is no people not getting along with each other, trippin’,” he said at the time. “None of that.”
Butcher and Murphy appeared in Big Momma’s House 2 in 2006. “He pursued her,” a source told Us in 2012, adding that the Beverly Hills Cop star “totally loves her look.”
