Inside Carrie Underwood’s New Life with a Family of 4: ‘They’re Total Homebodies’

Before her Cry Pretty tour kicks off in May, Carrie Underwood is enjoying every moment with her new family of four at home in Tennessee.

The country singer, 35, welcomed a second son, Jacob Bryan, on Jan. 21 with her husband Mike Fisher, 38, and the second-time parents are in full nesting mode in their new mansion just outside of Nashville.

“They’re total homebodies,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. “They rarely leave their home at night and love the outdoors and often go for walks.”

The American Idol alum — who’s also a mom to 3½-year-old son Isaiah Michael — is able to escape the glare of Hollywood in Tennessee, and the source says that’s exactly how Underwood prefers it.

“Carrie lives a very quiet life. They take Isaiah fishing, to the zoo and to farms so he can learn about animals,” says the source. “They very much live a farm life and seem to love it.”

Underwood shared the first photos of her newborn last week on her Instagram account.

“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday … his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!” Underwood wrote alongside a photo gallery of herself, Fisher and proud big brother Isaiah holding onto Jacob.

“Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good … ” she added.
