We wish we could press a button to magically stop Asian hate so everyone can be treated with kindness, but like with most things in this world, it’s going to take time and a lot of action. We’re still voicing our support for the Black Lives Matter movement that began with the killing of George Floyd last summer, and now Asian hate crimes are skyrocketing. While it can be difficult to explain to your kids the racial injustices going on now (and since the beginning of time), you can show them in other ways so they can become a little activist now. In addition to talking about anti-racism with your kids and sharing books with them by people of color, you can also outfit them in shirts in support of the AAPI community.
