Frequently referred to as a girl dad extraordinaire, the Fast & Furious actor has become known for the hilarious, emotional, and thoughtful moments he documents with his three daughters, Simone, 21, Jasmine, 7, and Tiana, 5. Whether he’s bonding over a shared love of WWE with his eldest, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Dany Garcia, or he’s letting his youngest two with wife Lauren Hashian live their best beauty influencer lives by giving him dramatic makeovers, there’s never a dull moment in The Rock’s woman-centric household.

Although he has the exterior of a tank, Johnson is nothing but a teddy bear when it comes to his daughters. The Jumanji star said during an episode of Oprah’s Master Class in 2015, “Being a father is the greatest job I have ever had and the greatest job I will ever have.” His heartfelt claim has been backed up time and time again by his many social media posts that give a glimpse into his tight bond with his girls.

You don’t have to scroll far to stumble upon a sweet moment shared by Johnson online, but a February 2021 Instagram post sums up his loving demeanor perfectly: “Every man wants a son, but every man needs a daughter,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself and Jasmine walking hand in hand. The former athlete continued, “All my girls have become the great equalizers in my life. I’m surrounded by estrogen and wouldn’t have it any other way. And man, I hope she never gets tired of holding these big ol’ dinosaur hands, though I suspect one day she will.”

During a 2015 episode of Oprah’s Master Class, Johnson said, “I realized being a father is the greatest job I have ever had and the greatest job I will ever have.” He continued, “I always wanted to be a great dad. I always wanted to give Simone things that I felt I never got.”

The Black Adam star added, “Throughout the years, throughout the ups and downs, I’ve realized that the most important thing that I could do with my daughter is lead our life with love. Not success, not fame, not anything else but, ‘I’m always here for you. I love you.’”

Moved to tears during the same Master Class interview, Johnson shared, “There was a time where I said [to Simone], ‘Do me a favor: I want you to tell me what is the thing that you love most about our relationship.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, come on.’ And I’m like, ‘No, no. What’s the one thing that you love most about our relationship?’ And she said, ‘Well, that I trust you.’”

With glassy eyes, the former professional wrestler said, “For a 13-year-old girl to say that to her dad, considering where I was at 13, the instability I had … That moved me. And so, you know, at 13, she’s saying that and… You know, I couldn’t ask for anything else.”

In honor of Women’s Equality Day in 2018, Johnson captioned an Instagram photo of Jasmine feeding him a croissant, “She can be anything she wants. She can sit at any table. She can trailblaze a path, while humbly and gratefully recognizing those before her who paved the way.”

The girl dad forged on, “She and her big sister, Simone and her baby sister, Tiana Gia will always have a strong voice and always make a positive impact.” Closing his powerful post with a bit of comedic relief, The Rock added, “She can also just forcefully shove a buttery, delicious croissant πŸ₯ in daddy’s mouth when daddy is on a very strict diet.”

The Jungle Cruise actor has long shared how proud he is of his Polynesian roots, and in April 2023, he opened up about an emotional moment he experienced with his middle daughter and his mother.

“A father daughter moment I’ll never forget for the rest of my life ❀️πŸ₯ΊπŸŒΊ,” Johnson began the caption of a video shared on his Instagram. “My 7yr old asked me if she can dance our Samoan Taualuga with her grandma ❀️,” he explained, adding, “The taualuga is our grand finale dance and is very sacred to our Samoan culture and as you see all of us dancing around my mom and my daughter – it’s our way of showing the utmost respect to the ones we are honoring. Make way, here she comes….”

The Game Plan star sweetly revealed, “Man I was fighting back tears when I squatted and slapped the ground with my hands – in our culture – a fathers ultimate show of respect and love for his daughter.”

  • Operating With the Knowledge That Time Is Fleeting

If you’re feeling like The Rock simply must not be as tired as you are as a parent, he is — he just chooses to operate with the constant reminder that time is fleeting.

In 2018, he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Jasmine in his arms, “Working late and had only 3hrs sleep when this tornado πŸŒͺ busts in our bedroom, jumps on me and pleads with me to get up and take her to my closet (she keeps toys in my closet) to play.”

Johnson continued, “We get there and then – surprise – she refuses to play and just wants me to hold her while she makes fart noises πŸ’¨πŸ€¦πŸΎ‍♂️ Tired as all hell, but thought ehh there’s gonna come a time, years from now when jumping in my arms is the last thing she wants to do and ain’t gonna be cool anymore — so I’ll always take these moments while I can,” the wise papa concluded.

  • Making a Lifelong Promise From Birth

When his third daughter was born in April 2018, Dwayne Johnson made a vow to her as he did with her sisters before her. The proud dad wrote on Instagram, “To my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia – like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life.”

The Jumanji star added, “Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear.”

  • On the Continuation β€” and Evolution β€” of His Legacy

When Simone signed her contract with WWE, the Rampage actor told Jimmy Fallon, “It just blows my mind.”

“First of all, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps,” Johnson said before adding, “But more importantly — follow in my footsteps sounds cliché — but she actually wants to blaze her own path, which is just so important. She wound up being the youngest signee in the history of the company,” he proudly gushed.

Proving even the most masculine-looking men aren’t bothered by feminine energy, Johnson lets his youngest daughters give him the most chaotic makeovers — and he films the gut-busting process for the world to enjoy.

Jazzy and Tia’s most recent daddy beautification involved a lot of hot pink lipstick, much to Johnson’s chagrin. Captioning the hilarious video of the little girls painting his entire head and neck in Barbie-colored lip product, the Central Intelligence actor relayed the expectation: “Daddy can we give you a makeover? No baby, daddy has a zoom meeting in 10min. PLEASE it’ll be quick! Ok, but make it quick but only do my nails and make me look handsome.”

Followed by the reality: “Zoom meeting canceled. My two tornadoes point and laugh uncontrollably with no mercy judgement. I spend an hour TRYING to scrub lipstick off my head and face – unbeknownst to me – this sh*t stains the skin πŸ’„πŸ€£”

Then, with his signature sentimental outlook on fatherhood, Johnson wrote, “Hey they’ll be a time down the road when this stuff won’t matter to them anymore, so sign me up – daddy’s in: πŸ™‹πŸ½‍β™‚οΈπŸ˜‚”

  • Continually Celebrating Women

Even before he became a dad to three daughters, Johnson made a conscious effort to uplift women, just as he does today. The former pro wrestler makes a post on his Instagram every year for International Women’s Day, with 2018 marking one of his sweetest celebrations to date.

Alongside an adorable video of him teaching Jasmine to say “girl power” and “International Women’s Day,” Johnson wrote, “To every woman out there ‘round the world – all ages and races – I proudly stand by your side to always honor, protect and respect. Especially, the loves of my life at home.”

  • What It Really Means to ‘Be a Man’

After welcoming his second daughter nearly 15 years after his first, Johnson shared his thoughts on what it really means to “be a man” and advice for fellow men on how to do so.

Explaining on Instagram how “being a grateful man takes on a whole new meaning” after Jasmine’s arrival in 2015, the Red Notice actor wrote, “I had just one wish I asked the universe… Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday. If I can accomplish that, then I’d have a good shot at being a great father.”

He continued his sage words with, “To all you young men out there who will be fathers one day, the goal of ‘being better’ will never steer you wrong.” Johnson added, “Something else that’ll never steer you wrong is ‘walking thru the fire’ with your baby’s mama.”

“I was right there during labor, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible,” he shared, adding, “As men, it’s a miracle we should witness because it’ll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman.”

And that’s how strong women are created: through the power of their mothers before them and the utmost appreciation their fathers have for the divine feminine. A true masterclass continually taught by Dwayne Johnson, the ultimate girl dad.
